Who in your opinion will be this seasons ROTY winner? and Why?

DERRICK ROSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Derrick Rose has the best opportunity to make an immediate impact with the Bulls. I'd say Heinrich's ability to distribute, and Wallace's presence down low open the door for Rose to do what he does best, and thats score.

Mayo will get it.

Mayo is one of the most overrated players going into and coming out of college I have seen in a long time.

He won't even be in the running for ROTY.

Of course Mayo is gonna "shine"
he is playing for a bad Memphis team

Rose has started the season really well, with Hinrich going down for 3 months with injury, it will really allow Rose to step it up and play to the highest of his potential

And Beasley is playing for a mediocre Miami team who cant win more then one game in a row, although Beasley is playing pretty good as the second leading scorer for Miami behind Wade

overall: Rose will most likely win, with Beasley in a close second ( i would hope these two)

If Mayo wins, its because he is leading scorer for a bad Memphis team, and the voters vote soley on the fact of leading scorer instead of best overall rookie performances

Mayo put up mediocre numbers at best at USC last year.

I just don't see him putting up BIG numbers in the NBA, even if he does play for a terrible Memphis team.

Mayo has had a couple of 30 point games

i dont expect it to be an every night thing

but he will probably average around 20 a game because he doesnt really have much help down in memphis

kinda like Durant last year, he played for a horrible Seattle team.. and was their leading scorer, and basically led them in everything

Mayo will have a produtive season but he will not deserve ROTY honors at the end

Just thought I'd say that Greg Oden is a Sophomore in the NBA.

Oden-11 points on 3-7 shooting with 10 rebounds

Portland also won the game by a staggering 42 points... Oden is back from injury and he is hungry for the ROTY,
granted its early in the season Oden has improved with every game since he came back from his ankle injury

Oden is ROTY eligible because this is his rookie season

Oden did not play a minute last season, so they made this his "initial" season

He was drafted last year.. yes.. but he is still eligible because he missed last season due to microfracture knee surgery
