Jonesboro I agree with but VV not even on the list. I believe that VV will beat everyone of those schools handily with the exception of Jonesboro.

I heard he was coaching somewhere in Jonesboro, he was at GCT helping with football this fall, hoped he would wind up there for soccer.

i agree GCT could be very good is they had better team chemistry. they have several players with talent they just need to find a way to play as a whole not as individuals who want all the glory for themselves. i have heard that the coach doesn't like practicing that much. paragould has been practicing till around 6 or so each and every day and i have heard from them that gct takes off a couple days here and there bc the coach doesn't want to practice. isn't he coaching both the girls and boys this year? i don't see how one person can try to coach two teams. the school prolly doesn't care enough about the program to go out and hire actual soccer coaches.

That is pretty much the impression I'm under. Also early in the practice season I heard he was coaching a couple of BB teams as well, not sure how true that is.

My point is most schools are lucky to have one person on staff you cares or knows anything about soccer. Jonesboro, Valley View and Searcy are just a few examples but they only have one coach paid by the school the other is a volunteer.
In this area it is hard to find good soccer coach that actually teaches in a school system. Are there any truely qualified soccer coaches in this area that teach in the schools?

yeah...futbol fanatic is rite about tech needing to practice more. ive seen some of the practices and they quit really early every day and they have the worst practice field in all of arkansas

GCT is paying two, if you can call it that. Two years ago when the first started 'paying' the coaches the paper reported they got a whole $1000 each to do so. Don't know if that has changed but that ain't much.

Well Ladies and Gents, I call it right here, that Nettleton will surprise everyone and win conference this year and defeat Batesville. This team is so much better, and I know first hand. These guys are crazy good and Nettleton's own version of the "Tartan" army will be there to support our team! We wanna be loud and proud! GO RAIDERS! Cant wait for some soccer!

Nettleton winning conference? nettleton won't be as good this year as they were last year and they weren't even that good last year. i seen them play and they r just an average team nothing more. they are not a physical team at all and are very timid. i have them getting beat in conference by batesville gct and paragould who play much more physical and will push that raider team around.

Paragould graduated all but one or two of the physical presence they had last year. The conf. is a toss up in my opinion, knowing the least about Batesville, I see them as the favorite followed by Nettleton, GCT, Paragould, NP in that order

So futbol fanatic you wouldnt mind me bringin that up when it comes down to Nettleton and Batesville right? If anyone would know, I KNOW, trust me, this team is ALOT better than last year, Last year, our team consisted of half people passionate about the sport and half seniors that just played because it was a good idea and fun. THIS YEAR is different the new coach has these kids ready, they are conditioned beyond belief, and VERY ATHLETIC. We'll see tho, I have confidence in the Raiders!!
