GCT has to be 2 goals better than Batesville to stay in the game because of the sorry-butt officiating you are going to get up there since Eric Rotermund left. Good luck at Batesville you are going to need it.

ok you want to start in about your second string giving up one of the goals so will i. One of yours was given up by a second string player who played because kyle evans who starts and normally plays 80 minutes was at a weightlifting meet. Drake Maxwell, a second year starting forward injured his knee the day before the game and played limited minutes. Jordan Pickens, the teams second leading scorer with 5 on the year, was sick and was easily winded due to it. Seth Williams, a starter at midfield/forward, was serving a team suspension. I'm ready for the conference game that counts.

I hear all this crap that your GCT kids say about our kids on the field so it feels really good to get that win and it was a real moral boost for the players. im in no way saying we are the better team...but to say we are weak and arent tougher than you guys or PARAGOULD??? COME ON.. that is absurd. You know get on here and talk all you want about your school but dont get on here and attack someone just because when they have confidence in there team and say the team is weak and basically say we have no chance, because just like in this instance you might have to eat your words later.

Well Taxman, you called the 2 goal part right. Gct lost 2-0, in the first half there was a possible goal by GCT with the ref way out at the 18, too close to call unless you were on the goal line. In the second half there was a goal by GCT when the batesville's keep carried it into the goal, could not tell if the ref was in position then or not. Batesville's 1st goal our keep should have had. The second goal was scored on a restart after an injury timeout and half the folks didn't know they had started play because they were watching Batesville's keep being helped off the field.

The refs were just inexperienced, not really bad. One knew what he was doing and the Scottish guy that put the girls in a daze seemed willing to learn. They'll get better, but since they were Lyon players they will gone by the time they get good.

I never said they were gonna beat Valley View bt it may be closer than u think TAX MAN bt i said they could PROBABLY beat 3,4,5 not 1 or2 and valley view was number 2 so ur blowin up for no reason hunny

Actually I have them ranked #3. So I understood you saying they could beat Valley View also. Have you seen Valley View play? Just how close do you think it is going to be?

I've seen VV twice and Westside once, expect VV to win by at least 4.

This is the most open-minded assesment I have ever seen of officials on the NEAR sight. I wish more people would follow your example when discussing officiating.

I am not always that openminded concerning officials. I have a great deal of patience for new/young officials. I am convinced at least 2 of those three young men will make fine officials. There are several officials that have no business on the soccer field(heck I might even be one of them). Chances are I will be very careful of any negative comments made about them unless really ticked off.

well i think it will be close bt valley view might get rallied up over this and come out and shut westside up....or the other way around im jus sayin dnt under estimate westside bc of their season last year. they have improved a lot. i think it will be a good game to watch at least.

Only way it would be a good game to watch is if you are a VV fan or scouting for a future opponent of either team

well we'll see next thursday....and u might be right, westside may get their butts handed to 'em bt it will be better than last year thats for sure. Westside has a couple of really good players just as good as some of valley views players, they jus dont have as solid team bt they do have a couple of good offensive as well as defensive players.
