From their performance in the West Plains tournament, my vote goes to VV Girls.

I will go with the Jonesboro guys. CRA made it to the semifinals of the state tournament last year and they have the potential to do the same this year but they are going to be up against some tough competition.

There is some in-fighting going on with the Jonesboro guys. I would imagine the Valley View girls would make it to the finals since they are opposite of CAC and talent wise they match up with CAC very well except for depth. I would look for the CRA guys to go very deep depending on the matchups they get in the tourney.

CRA and VV girls should do well, I know nothing about the Jonesboro teams.

CRA I think will benefit from having a lot of depth that has seen consistant playing time do to the coaching style.

VV girls are the best girls team in the East.

Burns will be a mess I'm thinking which may hurt VV girls but should help CRA.

i was talking to a friend and he said that at halftime of the marion game the jonesboro coach pretty much pointed out those who were doing the complaining.

he said that they came out and worked better together. especially after one of their players got his second red and they had to play a man down. they scored 4 goals in less then 20 minutes with 10 players!

i think they are focused and ready for tourney time!

How does GCT not make the poll? Is it because both boys, and girls teams made the playoffs?

Don't know. Westside's girls, WM girls, Marion boys and girls made the playoffs too. Batesville's boys and girls and SS boys teams too but they might not be considered NE. Maybe just the high seeds were placed in the poll?

One would think every NEA team going to state would be listed in the poll, but since it was 'who would go the farthest', it would be a waste to list anything but 1st seeds from the east or district 3.

Sorry guys but those are the teams that I just thought had the best chances just getting out of the first round.
GCT boys play Siloam Springs sorry not a chance they win this one
GCT girls play Harrison sorry again not a chance
Westside girls could win round one but round 2 draw is CAC not a chance
Southside boys or girls not a chance
Batesville girls play Greenbrier no chance
Marion boys and girls maybe has a chance to win game one but that is it
West Memphis girls no chance
Batesville boys are the only one that I believe that has a chance. So I left one out.

This is my poll and the teams I thought had at least a chance.

I'll say you did fine, I might have left off Nettleton and Paragould.

I understand you listed teams you gave the best chance to, but you know a couple months back not many thought SS had a chance in basketball(wrong)
or Davidson in march madness( wrong), very few gave GCT baseball a chance last year (wrong). If your in the tournament you've got a chance, please don't belittle underdogs they make tournaments more fun for all. A chip, A chair, and a chance is all you need to win. Go GOLDEN EAGLES.
