CR Bleacher Creature- 07-26-2008
Nah, he didn't. Conflict with the coach I believe. He's a good player tho, with very athletic genes and a good work ethic.

And Snoopy, I'm not counting chickens, I just know that there are some very athletic boys coming up and if they don't transfer or choose another sport over b-ball they'll be pretty salty.

snoopy- 07-27-2008
It's not just transfering or choosing another sport, god forbid something happens or they could just get burned out on the game...........so yes saying someone in the 8th or 9th is goin to be a good is deffintly counting that chicken before it hatches.........so what your saying is that these boys have potential to be good......unless these boys are 6'9 and can flat out stroke it from the volleyball line wink.gif

Cedar Ridge will be bad they lost there top 6 players and about 95% of there scoring im saying they win 10 games compared to 40 last year.

CR did get 4 move ins that cud be potential starters

CR Boys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

bic boys will be good this year

The legend- 08-26-2008
I agree the bic boys should suprise a lot of people this year, the transfers will help, however they have some good players returning from last year also.

In reference to BC, Bear stated,

Somehow or another the man keeps competing year after year with the exact same press and plays as he ran in the early 90's.

The man has ran the same plays since the 70's.

Abundant Life...will be loaded by the time season starts. Coach always gets the perfect move in somehow. wink.gif
Riverview...had a 6'7 Jr. move over from Searcy High, a 6'4 move over from W. Memphis, and a 6'8 move in from Georgia. These to go along with the 6'4 Soph that started last season as a 9th grader, and a 5'9 shooting guard that is filled with confidence after a great shooting season last year.
Rose Bud...Johnny Ray Taylor as Head Coach...enough said
Harding Academy...not had any move in's for hoops just yet even though the Gustev(sp?) helped them out in football a little. Lost a few key players from last season and without move ins will be lower in the conference than in years past.

How is GCT looking for this next season?

Campbell,Emery,Driver for sure for the girls. I'm not familiar enough with the other teammates, but I'm sure they'll play a major part in Riverside's run through the conference and region on up to the state tournament.

Holt! How could I forget that one. Yean, I'd say go ahead hand them the trophy on that one. Other than the NEA, what other tournaments will they be in?

I am sure that Jordan Madden will have alot to say about handing them the trophy. Lol her and her EPC Warriors will prolly be the ones walking away with the trophies.

neafbfan- 09-13-2008
Who is replacing Williams at point or is she returning? I had forgotten that EPC does drop down. Madden, Rebecca and Jocelyn could be a hard load to handle, but Riverside has enough guns to run with them.If Madden gets in foul trouble, which is rare, it could be lights out for EPC.

My philosophy on teams with a Madden or a Brooks is to trap early and often. A containment defense just postpones the inevitable loss. Trap and rotate the rest of the defense. A player can run, but a player can't hide.

Just my .25.
