I am a HUGE Cardinal fan. But you see, the difference between that college you like and the Cardinals, is that the Cardinals have not continued to dissapoint me for 38 years. In my lifetime of following the Cards, when they did have a few losing seasons they made coaching changes. The perfect example is Larusa, they went out and got the best Coach available. He was a proven winner and they had the common sense to know thats what it takes. By the way, I was raised in Missouri, so don't even put the Cardinals and that college u like in the same sentence. Gee, I wonder why there are no more post's about ASU's Basketball Coaching Search.... after ASU screwed up the Nolan signing.... all the air was let outta da ballon. Now few care. Cuz no one they bring in can recruit players to come to Jtown. WHY WOULD THEY? Go Tigers andGo Hogs.

Are we saying that Nolan is a "John Calipari"? You gotta be kiddin me! If you say Nolan can pack a house in his blue haired days, I will agree. But to say that this dude can still recruit in his blue hair days, you gotta be kidding me! Who has he recruited since he left UofA? Name one NBA player? So what proof do you have that he can recruit? He used to...? John Calipari is a modern day coach. You give him 5 players and he will find a way to win. You give him a couple of All-Americans, and he will go 31-1. Nolan was losing the ability to adapt before he ever opened his mouth and inserted his foot. When Nutt made it to the NCAA tourn. back in the late 90's, fans said he could recruit. Now he has been run out of town. Nolan never has nor will be on a level of J Cal! J Cal is on a level with Pitino, Coach K, and Roy. Nolan fits nowhere in that conversation!

So who else is there in the mix? Surely a D1 program has at least a name or 2. Has there been any contact with James Dickey or Rob Evans at all? What about Sean Sutton? He may be looking pretty soon! Good guy, but terrible year in the Big 12. Would do wonders for a tiny D1 school.

i am not to sure about Brady, but the others I think would do well. Brady did so so for a lot of years and then took a team to the final four. I honestly don't expect him to take ASU to the Final Four, but I don't really want mediocre either. I want someone who can get us to the tournament at least every 3 or 4 years, and NEVER get beat by the UALR Condoms.

Nolan WAS the best. That was 10 yrs ago! Let's dig Adolf Rupp up to coach or something why don't we. Why has some big program not gone after Nolan if he is so stinking good? It was because of his existing contract with Arkansas. Just because you don't agree with his reasons, doesn't mean they weren't his reasons.
