Coaches who have jobs and/or are talking about a position that is not open, deny. He has no reason to deny at this point. I personally think this is an ASU fan's wet dream.

NR's ego is too big to come to PODUNK ASU. My thinking is it will be a cold day u now where before he comes to JBoro. Just a pipe dream.They don't have the MULAH to get a big name. Nutt has run off all the fans and the football team can't carry the sports program either so my take is the athletic dept is loosing money year after year or close to it.

A search committee also does preliminary negotiating. Guess who gets to wheel & deal with Nolan first.

Even though they want Nolan, they are still going to use the "coach hiring playbook." Why is this so hard for you to get?

Because I have known Dr. Dean Lee back when he was just Coach Lee. With his work at the Razorback Foundation and Oklahoma State, he has the experience and knowledge to negoiate a contract. I also know that if he already had made an offer, he would hold not waste ASU's limited financial resources to hire an outside firm to do what he already had lined up.

Lee is a puppet. He's not running this show. The people putting up the money are. If you think Lee is in charge you are deluding yourself.

Well there is one thing for sure, "time will tell".

EEhh....I'm gettin a little bit more than just a little nervous about the NR hiring. NR is my first choice and i hope we get him......but something isn't smellin right here. If he is really the choice the smart thing would have been to "GET ER DONE" in respect to having hired him already. ASU Basketball is in the ditch, been in the ditch for years, but REALLY in the ditch now due to Nutt being alowed to stay and draw a salary for so long when it was clear he could not coach or recruit.
Now, we are to believe that the same morons who allowed DN to completely run the program into the freakin ground are capable of hiring the right guy. At first, I wanted to believe it, (NR coming to Jonesboro) but as the days strecth into weeks,.... after an easy hire is complicated by "hiring a consulting firm"...EEhh something isn't right. ASU is gonna screw this up. Its like the movie Groundhog Day. GEEEEZ, I hope I'm wrong.

And this is the ONLY place we hear it. Yet when there actually is a job offer from ASU to a coach, it is on the national news.

The TRUTH is ASU was talkiing ( only ) to Nolen. It was to serve both parties. It got ASU some national press and got Nolen's name out in the public again, BUT there was never any job offer. Discussions are NOT job offers. That is from MY sources inside.

Now there has been a offer, the national media informs us.

I agree Freak. Seems a lot of propaganda was spread about Nolan and ASU. I think they used each other.
