Tuckerman plays Riverside and Rector plays Marked Tree today. Any predictions on the games? I say that both the #1 seeds end up in the finals. Here is my predictions.
Tuckerman 12 Riverside 2
Rector 13 Marked Tree 7

Powerhouse i think that yall will beat riverside pretty easily unless yall play like yall did against black rock........As for the other game it will be good and i wouldn't mind to drive down there and watch it. I hope yall go all the way and good luck......represent our conference and show them how good yall really are.

The way i see it there will be no upsets.  Hillcrest and Sloan are both good and really need to get hot, if they are not hot like the 1st 2 rounds of the district then they wont win.  WR and Marked Tree is a game that will not be an upset either way.  My winners are Tuckerman, Riverside, Rector, and WR.

Negative. WR, Hillcrest, Tuckerman, Rector make it to the 2nd round. their conference is not as good as ours.

Tuckerman just blew past BIC. Didn't look like BIC really wanted to be there...I don't know. That wasn't the Matheny that I saw last weekend. He didn't have anything in the tank it seemed.

As for the Hillcrest game...Blake Hogan walks 10 batters in 5 innings and allows only one run, and allows no hits...

That's all I really need to say about it....

It just goes to show that you need to go out and play the game before giving yourself the victory... dry.gif

You are really not goint to give Tuckerman anything are you? Hunter Finney throws a PERFECT GAME and you say that it was b/c of BIC is why they lost, not anything to do with Tuckerman. Then you say that Hogan walked 10 batters and didnt allow any hits. Man you need to give credit where credit is due. Hunter Finney pitched one heck of a ballgame, Hogan didnt do bad. But you cant walk 10 batters in a game. A good team would have killed him if he walked 10 on someone like Tuckerman or Rector. Needless to say we got Riverside tomorow. nearsports/shoot.gif

Are you so insecure about your own team that you feel that they must be talked about in order for you to suceed? Good teams don't need people to talk about them, as they do their talking on the field. Good teams don't ask for and demand others to give them respect, they earn it on the field. Keep that in mind before whining about how much attention you are getting.

I've noticed something...those that play in the 2A-2 conference do SO MUCH talking on this forum. Very rarely, if EVER, do you see ANY players from the 2A-3 preaching up their teams, telling everyone how they are so much better, or how they have the better conference, blah blah blah....You mouth about Blake Hogan walking 10, saying that if he faced a good team and did that, he'd get killed. What you don't know is that he walked 8 or 9 and BEAT Marked Tree, the 2A-3 conference champion and regional finalist, in the semi-finals of the district.

I'll tell you this. Tuckerman is a good team. They are. Are they a legitimate Top 10 team in the state? Maybe. It would be close, but probably so. They put the ball in play, play solid defense, and have 4 pitchers that are all about the same (75-77 fastball, decent curve, and throw strikes). They aren't as "great" of a baseball team as they've been advertised, but they are good enough to be #1 or #2 in the region, depending on who they are playing and what pitchers are throwing. Were they expected to beat Riverside today? Yes. Are they 9 runs better? I don't know.

Whichever way you want to look at it, the 2A-North Region is screwed when we get to state. We just happened to be matched up with the toughest freakin' region in the state, with Parkers Chapel, Dierks, Junction City, and Norphlet coming at us... It's sad, actually, because our region is better than the East, and overall maybe as good as the West. Often times I wish that they would do away with the state playoff system that we have now, and go through and seed the teams rather than match up the regions. Good teams can get penalized just because of the region they are in, and it's not right...but oh well....what can you do....

First of all i think that we have proven oursleves on the field, and that why i was a little irritated. Secondly, noone in the 2a-3 conference does not get on here, yea thats their fault. The game between Marked Tree and Tuckerman today will be a good game, simply because i dont think each team will throw the ace or even the #2. It prolly gonna be a hitters game and i think that Tuckerman hits the ball better, so Tuckerman is gonna win, Score wil prolly go somthing like 14-9, somthing of that nature.

You are irritated because you have proven yourself on the field, or because no one talks about you? No one talks about you because you do all the talking. You've done it all year on this board...

"Secondly, noone in the 2a-3 conference does not get on here, yea thats their fault."

It's their fault that they don't flaunt themselves like you do? I didn't say it was a good thing that you talk yourselves up on here. That's a fault, not a compliment.

thornton1stbase- 05-06-2008
well how is talking ourselves up on here a fault? I think its self confidence.

french543- 05-06-2008
Game, I think your a little overboard on this one.

It's not like they got on here and talked about them being the grea-*test*-('") team in the world everyday. Most of what I have seen is them just talking about their season and how it was going and it has went fairly well this year. These guys really like baseball and are excited about it, that is why they talk about it. I don't think some of the other teams get on here and talk because they aren't as "into" it as the Tuckerman players are, those teams don't have any problem getting on here and talking about basketball. Which is fine, that is what excites them.

It's a forum made for people talking, if people don't talk then why is it here?

french543- 05-06-2008
Wild one tonight.

Marked Tree leads 8-2 early and Tuckerman scores the next 16 runs to win 18-8.
