Then you're not really interested in the program getting better. If ASU had a chance at getting Nolan, they should beg, borrow and steal to make it happen. Automatic recognition for the program, plus an exciting style of basketball that would pack the stands. Not saying it's even remotely possible, but ASU would be crazy to pass up a chance if it existed.

I loved Nolan when he was at Tulsa. I liked him when he was at Arkansas even though I am not a Razorback fan. He would be a very bad hire for ASU at this time. Why does he not have a big time job at this time? Their is a reason no one would touch him after he left Arkansas.

No, you are very wrong. I want the basketball program at ASU to grow, expand and compete. Bringing in Nolan Richardson would be nothing more than to spite the UofA. With what he's receiving from the Razorback Foundation to simply sit on his butt, he won't take a low paying job like ASU.

What ASU needs is to bring in an up and coming young coach from a smaller school that has the vim and vigor to want to win, wants to make a name for himself.

Yeah, ASU is probably going to be a stepping stone for some coach to show the nation that he can coach. If he could turn ASU around and make them a contender for the Sun Belt crown year after year and go to the big dance a few times, then that guy would able to punch his ticket to a high profile job.

There's somebody out there that will turn ASU around. I just hope that the powers at ASU spend their money more wisely on a coaching search than they did on the mascot debacle.
