He ran a witch hunt against the sheriff of Pemiscot county Clyde Orton. In an election the township of Holland(yep the one north of Blytheville) had 275 registered voters. In the sheriffs election 300 people voted for Orton and 0 for his opponent. My wifes grand father was one of his deputies. Back then Pemiscot County had the second highest % of insurance claims in the USA. Cook County, Illinois was first. I could tell stories for days. Any way Ashcroft got Orton out of office. The next election he was re-elected.

Poverty

There are 37 million poor Americans. Most poor Americans are in the workforce, yet still cannot afford to make ends meet. And too many poor Americans are single mothers who are raising children. Barack Obama has been a lifelong advocate for the poor -- as a young college graduate, he rejected the high salaries of corporate America and moved to the South Side of Chicago to work as a community organizer. As an organizer, Obama worked with churches, Chicago residents and local government to set up job training programs for the unemployed and after school programs for kids.

Not that it would matter to me anyway, she has been a registered republican since 1982, and never joined the Alaska Independent Party. Even if they did, who could blame them after the way half this country thinks. Is it any different from us seceding from the north or when we had our Boston Tea Party?
