ok ok...this is michael dewitt. I'm not gonna justify anything i did, i'm jus gonna tell what happened and why. On March 19th our shortstop was thrown out of a Christian college for cusing at the umpire and continued to do so after he was tossed. Before the game was over our coach guaranteed him that he would start the second game of the double header. So, on March 26th we played in Illinois and a hit-n-run was called with me on first and the shortstop(who was ejected in the previous series) at bat. For the third time on the day i stole on a hit-n-run and for the third time the batter didnt swing. However, this time i was thrown out at second and i contiued by getting up and hitting my helmet. I yelled for the hitter to swing the bat and left the field. Nothing was thrown and nothing more said. I was planning to take the field after the third out and was told to stay in the dugout by my coach until i could "learn to control my temper." I told the coach that it was bullcrap and he replied that i could sit out the next game. Then, i said that if that was the case then i would quit. before our next series started, coach called out the starting lineup and i wasnt in it. so, i kept my word and quietly left the field. The End

You shouldn't have quit man, simple as that. I dont mean to preach but what if things arent going your way in life sometimes, what are you going to do then.. just quit whatever it is your doing? H.e.L.L. things rarely ever go my way.. I have alot of bad days pitching, Im not hitting well anymore, I lost alot of speed.. I mean im sure I could go on but noone cares. The fact is, you just have to get through it anyway you can. We're gonna' miss you.

If you accept mdewitt2 version. Seems like coach should have been making a linup change after the second hit and run call. Team effort by players and coaches is required. Doesn't sound like much of a team to be walking away from.

Southpaw, I'm afraid he's right. The DeWitt version sounds like the Coach doesn't have too much control of the team if he let's a player not swing 3 times on a hit and run and stay in the game. I don't care if he's A-Rod.

The hitter is hanging the baserunner out to dry. Whether it's personal or "too far inside" That's not playing teamball. I don't think he's mouthing you're entire team though. I think he's saying the coach needs to get a handle on some kids.

Right, I meant it in regards to coach control and TEAM play not that you don't have talented players.

The decision that i made was for me, and in doing so i feel it is best for the team. The team isn't much of a team neways. Most(90%) of the team are good to each other. However, the othe 10% wouldn't even fight for you if the situation was brought upon them. Two members of the team have done nothing but mouth me before and after i quit. To me, that doesnt seem like good chemistry. Nothing else they could've at least said somehting to my face...like a man . Besides, it wasnt any fun after a while. Anyways, best of luck and i hope you sweep Northark.
