If you have been paying attention the primaries and caucuses then maybe you have noticed the amount of voting the Democratic party is getting verses the Republican party. In Texas alone, it was more than a couple hundred thousand. There aren't enough Republican voters , no matter who would have gotten the nomination.

It's not about not having enough republicans. There's plenty. Republicans aren't coming out to vote in primaries for 2 simple reasons:

1. the nomination has pretty much been wrapped up for quite a while now, and

2. They are voting in the democratic primaries to vote against Hillary.

Maybe Republicans should be voting for Hillary and not against her. A lot of Republican leaders seem to think that Clinton is the most beatable in November. I tend to agree with them. If Obama keeps surging McCain may have a hard time. I have heard it said more than once that the best case scenario for Republicans is if Clinton gets the nod for the Dems.

I'm not positive that they think Obama is the most beatable. I honestly think Republicans just flat out hate Clinton.

I started hating Clintons 24+ years ago, before I every started voting Republican.

Why?

Very simply he raised sales taxes. Arkansas has a 3% tax forever. Then he added a 1% tax supposedly for schools and education and created bogus teacher -*test*-('")ing to improve schools. I was in HS at the time and personally saw no improvement nor removal of incompetant teachers. After he was re-elected after losing to White he again raised state sales taxes supposedly for education and I believe signed legistation to allow local sales taxes. So basically he has caused/allowed sales taxes to nearly triple. I don't see any reason to ever raise or create new taxes, get the economy right and that increases the tax base, raise taxes and you hurt the economy and eventually have to raise taxes again. Very short term taxes such as the Bono Lake tax and Paragould's City Cable tax are good they have a definite end.

Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee and Louisiana's Bobby Jindal are the top contenders IMHO.

I have a feeling it'll be Romney tho...his presents could swing Michigan to McCain's side.

Michigan as well as Ohio will be key states for McCain.
