My wife is a politics junkie. She is now impressed with Huckabee after the debates. She doesn't impress easily.
He is a very long shot for the nomination, but I'd say he's definitely raised his profile in the GOP. Might be a tidy little Washington job in the works for him down the road.
Mike Huckabee has got my vote if for no other reason that his strong christian views. I believe the future is our kids...I don't want MY children learning about evolution in school without the exposure to the theories like creationism. I also don't want them to grow up being obese and unhealthy and the BMI index is an excellent way to combat that. I don't see how any parent could see fault in a guy wanting the children of the state to be healthy. Maybe encouraging children to exersize will make some more active and less likely to participate in deviant behavior later in life and less likely to be lazy. Huckabee improved the state's roads (which were 50th in the country at the time he took office) in addition to building an enormous state surplus (which by the way, is gone now)

| Even though i am too young to vote from what i saw and heard of mike huccabee being "tight with the money". i am republican, but i would not vote for the hillary. |
I don't understand that statement. You DO know that Hillary is a liberal don't you?
I was walking out of the Rayburn House Office Building today, and low and behold if Mrs. Bill Clinton herself was not walking in at the same time. There was a lot of things I would have liked to have said to her, but I kept my mouth shut.
Lets just hope Newt gets in
Bump for 'Mike Momentum' heading into Iowa and New Hampshire. Who woulda thunk it. I guess the 'religious right' needs some horse to back in this race though, so maybe it's not such a surprise...
LOL. Is this a measure of the publics' liking for Mike, or disappointment in the GOP field overall? Clearly a social conservative agenda can still get a candidate far.
The media is just building Huck up because they think Hillary can beat him easier than she could Giuliani or Thompson. If he gets the nomination, I will by all means support him, but I'd ten times rather see Thompson get it.
Seriously, that is part of the deal. If Thompson wasn't running such a lousy campaign, he would be stomping this field.
I think Thompson is focusing on the South Carolina primary. Might be a smart move, only time will tell. I'm behind Thompson 100%, but he needs to get on the ball.
Mike has really come on strong here lately. I'm still not sure who I'm voting for, but I do agree with Mike in several areas.
The one thing I know is that I won't be voting for anybody that doesn't support 2nd Amendment rights. That means I won't be voting Democrat, because there's not one Democrat that supports 2nd Amendment rights.
I'm not convinced by Mike, I like his stand on many issues, and I believe and respect the fact that he uses his christian background to make decisions on certain things, but he will have a hard time defending the fact that he pardoned a convicted rapist, who after being let out raped and killed two more women

Supports strict adherence to the Constitution and Bill of Rights = Ron Paul.
Gun Owners for Ron Paul Mike is now the GOP leader in Iowa.
In other news, man bites dog.
