Right you are and I am the one putting it back on topic. Huckabee has shown he has a much better chance than a snowball in he[[.

Obama has explained it as he was in some instances in favor of a bill but he found something objectionable in it. We see the spin in almost every election on voting records, they will say a canidate voted yes to raising taxes so many times . Many times these votes are part of a bigger bill that they have to pass for other reasons. Maybe Obama wanted the strip clubs more than a 1000 feet from schools or did not want penalties for 1st offenses to be lessened.
Sounds like he found a way to stand by his beliefs without comprimising. Will never work in Washington unfortunatly. He would be the most ineffective pres since Carter. |
it basically means he has no convictions that he wants us to know about anyway. he'll show them to us if he gets elected which i feel he probably will. i used to have a lot of faith in the youth of our country but i am starting to worry. obama hasn't said 1 thing about what he plans to do and just give MLK and JFK speeches and they just swoon over him. unbelievable. be careful what you ask for because you just might get what you deserve.
|
I hope he gets the dem nomination, if he's evil he's the lessor of the two.
|
i really can't decide which is worse. any of the repubs, and i do have problems with some of them, would be better.
|
Oh sure, John McCain's vision for America's future looks really nice... "More wars" "Bomb, bomb Iran" "100 years in Iraq" Encouraging... |
i take it from this post either you despise the military or you have never served in it and have been drinking the liberal mainstream media kool aid. i know it is a foreign concept but they are actually crazy muslims out to destroy us which is almost as bad as the democratic party. by the way, i wonder who the muslims would vote for if they could.

Now you are comparing Muslim extremists to the Democratic Party...
I'm sorry, but I can't argue with you anymore. It is blatantly impossible to have an intelligent debate with you.

.....and Mike is now officially out.
That was quite a run, and a real surprise at least to me.

He only lasted as long as he did because:
1) Mitt Romney dropped out
2) The Republican party needed some sort of competition to keep the media from taking John McCain out of the November race and the Democratic party from stealing the show. That way, John McCain gets some attention shifted towards his campaign. If you were to ask me, the John McCain "scandal" was merely a distraction set up by his own campaign to shed some light back his way.
Ole Huck didn't very much money , so how do you think he kept his campaign alive? Thats right folks, John McCain, who now needs money. The people voting for Mike are the Republicans who don't believe Senator McCain is conservative enough.
However, it's becoming a mute point anyway. John McCain will most likely not be elected for the presidancy come November. If you have been paying attention the primaries and caucuses then maybe you have noticed the amount of voting the Democratic party is getting verses the Republican party. In Texas alone, it was more than a couple hundred thousand. There aren't enough Republican voters , no matter who would have gotten the nomination.
You can thank George W Bush for that.

I agree with the two points but not the last two paragraphs. No way McCain subsidised his campaign. I hope the republicans can compete with the Dems come November and win if Billary is anywhere on the ticket.

It's not about not having enough republicans. There's plenty. Republicans aren't coming out to vote in primaries for 2 simple reasons:
1. the nomination has pretty much been wrapped up for quite a while now, and
2. They are voting in the democratic primaries to vote against Hillary.

Maybe Republicans should be voting for Hillary and not against her. A lot of Republican leaders seem to think that Clinton is the most beatable in November. I tend to agree with them. If Obama keeps surging McCain may have a hard time. I have heard it said more than once that the best case scenario for Republicans is if Clinton gets the nod for the Dems.

Your right on the money, I'm sure my wife and I were not the only persons to do that. She didn't want to vote for Huckabee either, had enough of both of them here already.

No you are right. Obama is far from the most beatable. Obama can unite people unlike anyone we have seen lately. It is a known fact that Hillary is strongly disliked in many parts of our country.

I started hating Clintons 24+ years ago, before I every started voting Republican.
