My grandson is playing in a Wooden Bat Classic this weekend in Southaven, MS. He's never used a wooden bat, and is excited about the opportunity. I like it, too. It brings back memories. You get to hear the real crack of the bat, not ping of the bat.

Yes, it is USSSA, and he's 12 years old. He's played Little League, Cal Ripkin, and USSSA. He's decided that he enjoys the USSSA ball better.
